About
I am currently Assistant Director of Planning and Design working with the Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District (SRPEDD). I previously worked as an Urban Planner and Designer at Harriman and as a Planner II with the Downtown and Neighborhood Planning department at the Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA). In my work, I strive to collaborate with stakeholders and develop a transparent, capacity-building community engagement process to build consensus for equitable community plans in rapidly changing neighborhoods. I develop and implement alternative ways of engagement, creative and clear ways of communicating, and consistent project management during planning initiatives. I graduated from MIT with a Masters in City Planning and a Bachelor's of Science in Architecture and Urban Studies and Planning. My thesis, Public Realm Usage Patters: Lessons from Shenzhen's Disappearing Urban Villages, documented how the public realm of Shenzhen's urban villages was used and brought attention to the importance of a context-specific urban design methodology.
